Dead Cat Ranch

We went to dead cat ranch for my 25th birthday, and let me just say that I WISH I could stay here forever. Unlike me, my group of friends are not the outdoor type but they absolutely cannot get over this trip. We went in late June and til this day we still talk about how amazing this experience was and how we all wished we could stay here. The manager was very nice and helpful. He was always a call away. The only thing that I could probably say is that we did get lost trying to find the entrance to the ranch. We eventually found it but I didn’t receive any emails of what to do when we arrived or how could we get in. After we solved our dilemma, it’s was just pure fun. Definitely recommend to do everything that the ranch offers. Worth the money and the experience is priceless.

Just spent a quick weekend getaway at the Dead Cat Ranch! We WILL be back. Everything about the stay was easy and welcoming. It is such a peaceful, beautiful place. We spent the weekend in the "Hollywood" camper. It was precious. Highly Recommend!

We stayed here for a friend’s 50th birthday celebration. This place checked all the boxes. It was a quiet country getaway with enough space to feel secluded but enough activities to never be bored. We rented the country cottage which was great for 2 couples. We rented 4 wheelers, took advantage of the shooting range, and went on a horse back ride. The side by side was a fun add on to the stay and made the trip feel more adventurous. Josh, Stacy & Shawn made us feel very welcomed; almost like family and definitely made us feel like we were welcomed back. Overall a great experience and we all agreed to return sometime.

Dead Cat Ranch is great for enjoying the outdoors. It's been a very nice spot for camping and bonding with families, great for reunions and nice places for swimming. The gun ranges and swimming pools were nice and very fun with the family. My disabled twin brother and I had a magnificent time here.

Stacy was very welcoming and the country cabin we stayed in served our purposes! The master bedroom is really cozy. Stacy and the team were also very accommodating, installing grip tape in one of the bathrooms that needed it when we brought it up to them. Lots of fun activities but unfortunately it was raining every time we were free to do some so we didn't get to experience that part of the ranch. 10/10 would go again if I needed a place to stay in Texas!

We went out to Deadcat Ranch for the second time in February with our family/friends & it just keeps getting better! We stayed in the bunkhouse & the addition with the pool & hot tub is amazing! The weather was a little chilly, but we spent time in the hot tub and enjoyed the views each night. Our family loved the trails, fishing, target range, late night bonfires & horse riding the kids were able to do. There was fun for all ages! Not to mention, the hospitality of all the staff. Stacy, Josh, Ron & Shawn make planning your daily events easy & are available for any questions! We’ll be back time and time again, sure to make new memories each round!

First time staying at the Dead Cat Ranch for a weekend getaway. This is one of the few places we have stayed in in which I did not feel I had to wash all dishes and utensils before use. We were lucky in which we were the only guests at the ranch the weekend we visited. If your family loves outdoor activities, this is your place. Even if you are not an outdoors person, it is still an amazing place. The quietness of the place is soothing to your soul. You can hang out in the hammock and read or enjoy nature around you while sitting on your front porch. Stargazing at the Milky Way while eating supper at your private campfire is an absolute must. Everyone we interacted with was welcoming and helpful. If you needed something they were there otherwise you were left to enjoy the ranch by yourself. Yes, we will be back, already booked for next year!

We stayed at Dead Cat Ranch for my brother's bachelor party. Stacy & Josh were amazing hosts throughout the whole experience. Very welcoming and responsive. The grounds were pristine with a fantastic, well-maintained network of roads. The topography was pretty varied with rolling hills and a lake. We fished, shot clays, rode horses, played craps, went through a pistol course, and did a ton more activities. It would be difficult to run out of things to do as the ranch has pretty much all the activities you can think of. The residences were also fantastic with great attention to detail. Everything was clean, well stocked and well planned out. I do not think you can go wrong with a big group and each residence was unique and charming. I specifically want to highlight the guys managing the ranch: Ron & Shawn. If you respect the ranch, they will go out of their way to take care of you. This trip was a massive hit for my group and we have been buzzing ever since we left. We are already talking about our next trip back.
